Today was the most intense! It was the preliminary competition where they test you on runway/stage presence, evening gown, swim suit body, photogenic and overall impression.
These delegates definitely have years of runway experience and considering I’m one of the youngest, I’m very proud of my efforts! Time for hair and makeup! See you soon 😘

Today my flight for Toronto was at 8:45 am and was pretty rocky as well but at 12:00 I was landing in the Toronto Pearson Airport and Met Farrah Miss Teenage New Brunswick, and Mark one of our chaperons for the trip. From there they brought me to met all of the rest of the girls that flew into Toronto. It was so nice to finally meet all of the girls and not just see them on Instagram.

we took a shuttle and arrived at the place we were staying. There was a mix up with my rooms so my roommate and had to wait for a new from to be ready but we finally got settles in and I absolutely love my roomies a much💕

We stayed in our rooms until we got a call for a pizza and PJ party. Here, I got to meet all of the girls and truly bond with all of them. We also got to meet the refining Miss teenage Canada, Kate and Miss world Canada 2018.

They told us their stories of how they got into pageants and also some tips for the week! Win or lose I’m here to have a great time, make friends and explore the city of Toronto.

This pageant will be my first official pageant ever and so far I’m having a blast! Can’t wait for tomorrow when we do our photo shoot and video shoot…. and also our interview… so nervous!

That’s all for now

Much love

June was a very busy and fun filled month Where I attended 10 events!

This month was philippine heritage month meaning I got to celebrate the liveliness of the Philippines with not only my province and city in Winnipeg but also with all of Canada!

My Favourite part of this month was seeing the Filipino Canadian community come together as one to celebrate the Filipino culture.

One of my favourite events from this month was having the opportunity to judge the Queen Bulilit pageant at the Manitoba Filipino Street festival. The girls range for ages 4-11 and compete in the evening gown, question and answer, and talent.

I also attended an event called musica which was the beginning of Filipino folk music in an operatic style. At the event they also showcased Italian opera songs so it was a fusion of both my cultures.

Stay tuned for all of my Miss teenage Canada blog post days soon!

Much love

Hello, my name is Avry and I’m very proud to be representing Winnipeg, Manitoba in the Miss Teenage Canada pageant.

I’m 14 years old and grew up and still live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The past few months have been busy but exciting. After my interview with Michelle, I was proud to tell my family and friends that I was accepted to compete in Miss Teenage Canada 2019. I was selected for being very well spoken and having a great sense of who I am and what I believe in.

Cruising on the beautiful Red River in Winnipeg, Manitoba!

When I told my family about the pageant, they were skeptical at first. I’m proud to say I completely changed their whole perspective. Pageants to me are very beneficial. They can teach young girls better communication skills, how to build better friendships, confidence, public speaking skills and boost their ego!

I have been taught that family is the most important part of my life. My love for family has helped me discover who I want to be and how I want to change the world. I have chosen to be an advocate for elderly abuse and was involved in the World Elderly Abuse Awareness events in Winnipeg! My mom is my inspiration! Her love and passion as a geriatric nurse has inspired me to advocate!

My time spent with my family is important to me. I especially love mountain biking with my dad. My dad is quite the athlete and lucky for me I have long legs to keep up with him 😀

My Dad and I mountain biking!

We also enjoy water sports as a family. Two years ago I was introduced to wake surfing behind the boat and absolutely loved it!

Through my journey as Miss Teenage Winnipeg, I have accomplished many things. My first step was a professional photoshoot with Brent Peters Photography. Then I organized a successful fundraising event and raised funds for the Children’s Wish Foundation. I also had the opportunity to attend many events during the World Elderly Abuse Awareness week in Manitoba.

My successful fundraising event!

I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Macaw Recovery Center. They have worked tirelessly to re-establish the population and ensure the long-term future of Scarlet and Great Green macaws in Costa Rica.

I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to compete in the Miss Teenage Canada Pageant. Can’t wait to meet all the delegates and make some unforgettable memories! This is a very special opportunity and I’m especially thankful to my mom for making this happen! Look for me on stage! I will be the one catching the crown 😀👑

Hello my name is Mirella Aiello, but you can also call me Mimi for short. I am so excited to be representing Southern Manitoba for 2019!

The past few months of being crowned have been amazing! I have had the pleasure of going to fabulous community events and meeting so many inspiring people. I hope that in my region I can bring awareness to my platform of mental health and environmental issues.

I recently graduated High School with honours with an average of 90%, 2 diplomas, one for the English program in the province of Manitoba and one for visual and performing arts. I also received a full scholarship for the School of Contemporary Dancers and the Point Douglas Community Service award/scholarship from Councillor Vivian Santos.

I will be continuing my studies at the University of Winnipeg in the fall where I will be apart of the Integrated program working towards my Bachelor’s of the Arts and Bachelors of Education degrees with a major in english and a minor in biology or political science. I am very excited for this journey in my life because being a teacher has been a dream of mine and I love working with children. On top of being a full time university student I will also be attending the School of Contemporary dancers to continue my studies and passion for dance.

The month of June was recently proclaimed as Philippine Heritage month across Canada recognized by the Canadian government. I am very proud to be half Filipino, half Italian and have been born and raised in Canada.

Over the past few months I have been attending multiple festivities celebrating the Filipino culture through language, song, dance, fashion and of course, food!
